    How to tightline your eyes

    How to tightline your eyes

Tightlining your eyes (also known as the "invisible eye liner") is a great way to add a subtle definition to your eyes. Instead of lining the skin above your lashes, you line between the lash line. This method is perfect for any casual or fancy occasion, and is super easy to master. Keep reading to learn how to tightline your eyes!

Using clean fingers, gently lift your lashes upward (this step is only necessary if you find it easier to tightline). You'll see tiny gaps between your lash hairs, which you'll be filling in with eye liner.

Using your eyeliner (we found that the Too Faced 3 Way Lash Lining Tool makes this task super easy!), lightly dab the eye liner in between each individual lash (as close to the root as possible), to fill in your lash line and make it look fuller.

    You've officially tightlined your eyes!

If you'd like to intensify the look, tightline your bottom lash line as well. It's the same concept as the top, but you'll be filling in the space between your lower lashes.

I only ordered this product due to the reviews it had received. I have to admit when I received it I thought I had made a huge mistake. It is Black!! But, when I put it on it was amazing. It turned my lips to this wonderful color that looks like my own natural color. This one stays in my purse to use several times a week, instead of in my make up case. My make up case has several lipsticks and I choose and play around for color but, when I want a natural color that stays and feels like silk on my lips this is the one I continue to go to. 10 Beauty Tips To Fall Back On

10 Beauty Tips To Fall Back On

    Smooth your hair, safely

Okay, so you don’t want to shell out $300 for a salon hair-straightening treatment—or worse, risk being exposed to the toxic formaldehyde still being used in some. Good news: You can get frizz-free at home.

New kits work like the salon service, using keratin to temporarily fill in holes in the hair shaft—without formaldehyde. Shampoo or spritz on the formula, dry your hair, then (and this is the key) seal in sleekness by flat-ironing. The result is smooth hair for up to thirty days.

    Be a natural (brow) beauty

Don’t go all tweezer-happy full brows are more flattering. "Tweeze strays where necessary, then fill in your brows with a pencil one shade lighter than your natural brow color," says celebrity brow expert Robert Bolanos. This creates a softer, more natural effect using the same shade can look harsh.

    Make over your makeup

If you’re not already hooked on mineral makeup, now’s the time to get in on this healthy trend. The latest mineral finds boast good-for-your-skin ingredients like soybean extract and seaweed, in addition to being free of preservatives, synthetics, and artificial oils.

    • Two fresh gems to try: Makeup pro Bobbi Brown’s first mineral product, a foundation (Bobbi Brown Mineral Makeup SPF 15, $38), and the new pressed mineral eye shadow from Bare Minerals, shown (Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow)

    Give skin the spa touch

The latest way to get amazing skin: Power up your face-washing routine with a rotating cleansing brush, the at-home facial appliance derms are buzzing about.

"The micro-massaging bristles help loosen trapped makeup and dirt without additional scrubbing," says Tina Alster, MD, clinical professor of dermatology at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. "Plus, we’ve seen conditions like acne and rosacea start to clear up when these brushes are used."

    • Check out Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System, which comes with a sensitive-skin brush; additional brush heads are $25 each.

Try the new cut that’s good on everyone

When you’re feeling the need for a hair change-up, consider the bob the hottest chop around. Besides looking great on all face shapes, it can be styled straight or wavy and still look chic.

    Paint your nails olive

Military green on your nails? The shade surprisingly flatters all skin tones and pops against the fashion colors that are hot now like plum and navy.

    • A few polish picks to choose from: Butter London Nail Lacquer in Wallis.

    Upgrade your brush

    Free your inner redhead

No wonder celebs like Drew Barrymore and Scarlett Johansson have recently experimented with going red: The color is known to warm up all skin tones, says William George, owner of James Joseph Salon in Boston.

The simplest way to get it? An at-home foam hair color, which is drip-free and spreads easily. (Go for copper if you’re fair, auburn for olive skin, and mahogany for dark tones.)

    • Try L’Oréal Paris Sublime Mousse ($10), John Frieda Precision Foam Colour ($13), or Samy Fat Foam Hair Color ($9).

    Get big, fat lashes

Nothing opens up your eyes like long, thick lashes. If yours are naturally sparse or short, there are two new ways to make over what you’ve got:

    • At the salon, check out CryBaby, a 30-minute service where a waterproof fiber mixture is applied over lashes, boosting volume and length for two weeks (it slowly wears off).

    • Don’t want to leave your house? Try Cilea ($70)

    Soften your skin with oil

Heavy creams aren’t the only way to hydrate when the weather, and your skin, get dry. Facial oils are just as moisturizing, and sink in quicker meaning you don’t have to wait long to apply makeup. "They’re packed with hydrating fatty acids and feel very light," explains Tammy Fender, a facialist in Palm Beach, Florida.

    • Darphin Organic Tangerine Aromatic Care.

    Ways to Wear White EyeLiner

    Ways to Wear White EyeLiner
White eye liner: It brighten eyes, makes you appear instantly awake, and switches up your everyday look faster than Rihanna changes her hair cut.

    1. Wear white eye liner solo and create a gorgeous cat eye.

Don't be afraid to wear white liner by itself you're a confident beauty-obsessed girl that can totally pull it off! Just trace your upper lid with a white pencil and flick the pencil toward the outer corner of your eye, like you're drawing a check mark. If you're a newbie at creating the winged look, hold a business card at an angle at the outer corner of your eye and use the straight edge of the card as a guide.

    2. Double up your liners: first apply a black liquid liner along your upper lash line, and then add a shimmery white pencil over top.

This chic pop of white gives the effect of a shimmery champagne eye shadow, when really it's just a glimmering white pencil. Eye magic, in other words.

    3. Line your bottom lid in white, top lid in black.

Create two sixties-inspired cat eyes by first lining your upper lash line in black, and then reaching for a white eye liner to mirror the same shape on the bottom.

    4. Trace your entire eye and then draw a straight line right at the outer of your lower lid.

Okay, so this might not be your everyday look, but it's a cool way to wear white eye liner if you're a brave, I'll-try-anything-when-it-comes-to-makeup kind of woman. All you need is a white khol pencil, to pull it off.

    5. Wing out your white eye liner and and trace the inner corner of your eye for added oomph.

To recreate this look, trace a white pencil over your upper lid like you would a normal black cat eye — and then extend the line over the inner corner of your eye. Next, smudge the liner over the inner part of your eye with your ring finger (the weakest of all fingers) to give it a more diffused appearance.

How To Highlight & Contour Like a Pro

How To Highlight & Contour Like a Pro
    Add caption
When you apply foundation to your entire face, you’ve created a blank canvas, so you have to go back and add the dimensions back in. Remember in art class how you used darker shading to push an area away and lighter shading to pull an area towards you?

That’s all we’re doing here! It creates the illusion of a stronger jawline, more chiseled cheeks and a slimmer face.

And the easiest way to do this is by drawing the letter E on each side of your face to contour and the letter C on each side of your eyes. Anyone can do that, right? I’m showing you how to do it with both cream and powder formulas together for staying power, but you can certainly do one or the other.

    TOOLS:
Cream Foundation or Cream Bronzer - you can simply find a cream foundation that is four or so shades darker than your foundation (I love Jouer Age-Repairing Perfector Foundation in Tawny for fair to medium skin tones or Almond for darker skin tones) or you can try Hourglass Illume, a cream bronzer + highlight duo that I’ve been using on my clients with fair to medium skin tones for at least three years now.
A Flat-headed Foundation Brush - this really presses the cream into the skin and does all the work for you. I love Dior Full Coverage Fluid Brush for an investment but Flat Top Kabuki Brush will get the job done too.
Blush/Contour Brush - the best brush to blend cream foundation or bronzer is a natural-bristled round-headed one that is densely packed like the Cozzette Contour Stylist Brush, the iconic must-have for makeup artists at Fashion Week around the world.
Bronzing + Highlighting Powder - you can certainly buy them separately but I love Trish McEvoy Dual Resort Bronzer + Highlight because it’s the perfect amount of warmth with a hint of shimmer.
Angled Contour Brush - I love Sigma’s Large Angled Contour Brush for its fluffy angled bristles.
    STEPS:

After you’ve applied your foundation all over your face and neck but before any powder, dip your brush into the cream bronzer/darker foundation to load it up.

Swirl the brush on the back of your hand to take away some of the intensity.

Start at the middle of the top of your hairline and begin the letter E by tracing along the perimeter down to your temple.

Suck in your cheeks to see exactly where your cheekbones are then continue the middle prong of the letter E by sweeping the brush from your temple to just underneath the cheekbone (to hollow it out).

Go back along the underside of your cheekbone to the ear then down to your jawline. Finish the E by sweeping the brush just on and underneath the jawline. I like to also fill in the whole neck to really shade it, but I have profile issues and do anything I can to make mine more pronounced!

    Repeat on the other side.

Now swirl off any remainder on a tissue or the back of your hand and use the same brush to fill up with the cream highlighter.

Draw the letter C by holding the brush in the middle of your forehead just above your brow and outlining the eye all the way to your temple then down under your eye just above your cheekbone. This will pull that area forward and really highlight your eyes.

    Repeat on the other side.

Take the dry blush brush and go back over the E’s and C’s in swirling motions to really blend it into the skin. You could also use a Beauty Blender sponge to do this.

Finish by grabbing the angled contour brush and going over the E with the bronzing powder and the C with the highlighting powder.

Mistakes You’ve Making With Your Eye Makeup

Mistakes You’ve Making With Your Eye Makeup
    1. Using liner on your waterline:
Be mindful to apply lower liner on the lid, not the waterline, which will almost immediately be removed.

    2. Placing a dark shadow on your inner corner:
This will bring darkness to the area of the eye that’s already looking like it’s suffering. Instead, opt for a shimmery white or cream color. This will bring more light into your eyes making them appear brighter (and bigger, too!).

    3. Sleeping with eye makeup on:
Just because you won’t get acne in that area of your face does not mean it doesn’t have to be properly removed! Look for eye makeup removers with oils that will help to remove the makeup with out having to scrub it off.

    4. Wrong concealer color for your dark circles:
The color of your circles (blue, green, purple) will impact the color concealer to purchase. We go to the color wheel for help in this department. Use a pinkish tint for green circles and a peachy tint for blue or purple colored circles. This way the colors will counteract each other to hide the fact that you’re tired.

    5. Curling lashes after mascara:
Unless you want to end up with mega clumped lashes and a clogged eyelash curler, we suggest you curl your beautiful lashes before applying mascara to give them the foundation they need.

    6. Lining a cat-eye down:
When lining your eyes in an extended cat-eye style, you want to make sure you are keeping the line upwards when extending it beyond the eye. When it’s lined more downward, this makes the eye look droopy and smaller. Open up the look by extending the line towards your temple.

    7. Not using a waterproof mascara:
When it comes to mascara, opting for the waterproof formula is a safe bet. This way, you won’t have the lower lashes creating a black rim on your eyes mid-morning.

    8. Only using a primer when your using shadow:
Primers work wonders and need to be given more credit! The magical thing about a primer is that it not only prevents creasing, but also holds liner in place. Sweep a small amount onto lids even when you’re doing a quick five minute makeup routine and you’ll see a major difference in how long your eye makeup lasts.

    9. Applying liner and mascara before shadow:
By applying shadow last, you’re just making it difficult to blend out the eyeshadows to achieve the color blend you want. Instead, use shadow and blend, then think of liner and mascara as the frosting and sprinkles.

    10. Applying a dark, powder eyeshadow after applying concealer:
To avoid having loose, dark powder on your face, apply any dark shadows you’re using, then sweep off excess and apply concealer.

How to find your mascara match

How to find your mascara match
We talked to celebrity makeup artist Robin Siegel to see what it is women should be looking for in their mascara. See what she had to say about finding the best mascara — from the formula to brush shape to application tips.

    On the brush shape:
While everyone has different preferences, Siegel’s favorite option is a thin brush with stiff teeth. “It makes it easier to separate the lashes and get to the inner and outer corners.”
    On the application:
When applying mascara to the top lashes, Siegel suggests using a wiggle technique, starting at the root. “You wiggle up and out.” This technique is not repeated on the bottom lashes. For the bottom lashes, Siegel likes to use excess mascara she has on the wand and apply it to the bottom line using the top of the brush.
Siegel suggests that when applying mascara, it’s best to do the bottom lashes before the top. “This way the mascara on top doesn’t transfer while looking up to apply the bottom lashes.”
    On the formula:
“I like a mascara to deliver a smooth coat of color to the lashes without smudging or flaking,” Siegel tells us.
To avoid flaking, mascaras with hydrating elements such as panthenol work as a conditioner on your lashes. As for smudging, look for tubing mascara, which contains acrylic copolymer. While most traditional mascaras are oil and wax based, tubing mascaras are water based and the formula binds together to create a film over your lashes.
    On waterproof mascara:
Waterproof mascara can get a bad wrap for being so difficult during the removal process. Siegel doesn’t necessarily dismiss waterproof formulas, though. “It’s good to use for weddings or in the case of eye shapes that tend to smudge.”

5 Simple Summer Beauty Routine Tips

5 Simple Summer Beauty Routine Tips

To look your best during the dog days of summer, follow these simple steps for a clean, classic "no makeup" face:

    1. Concealer:
If you're able to pull it off, now is the time to skip foundation all together. Instead use a creamy concealer to hide any imperfections. Lightly dab and blend the concealer under eyes and over any red spots or blemishes.
    2. Blush:
A quick sweep of blush on the cheeks will add life and color to your entire face. During these summer months, try a peachy-coral shade to play up a tan and experiment with the 'it' shade of the season.
    3. Mascara:
There's no need for shadows and liners when you're going for the summer casual look. Instead use a dark brown or black mascara to add some definition and open up the eyes. For extra oomph look for mascara that curls the lashes and always go with a waterproof formula to minimize the chance of smudges and flakes.
    4. Moisturizer with SPF:
No matter your look, it's important to start every day with an application of SPF to protect skin from the sun's damaging rays. Before beginning any makeup routine, apply a nourishing moisturizer with SPF to the face and neck.
    5. Gloss:
Finally, to complete your "no makeup" look, add some shine and shimmer to your pout with a quick swipe of lip gloss. Pick a bright shade to add extra emphasis to your pout or go with a hue that closely matches your lip color for a more natural look. Don't forget to toss the gloss into your purse, so you have it with you for touch-ups while on the go.

Beauty Mistakes That'll Make You Age Faster

Beauty Mistakes That'll Make You Age Faster
Let’s face it: Makeup makes us look and feel good. But if you’re applying it incorrectly or using the wrong products, makeup may just be aging you — rather than making you look fresh and youthful. From neglected brows to over-made-up eyes, we found 10 easy ways to nix the mistakes you just might be making.

    DO skip face powder

    • Here’s why: Most of us reach for powder to set makeup, but it also tends to magnify lines in the skin, aging us. If you can’t give up powder, try switching to a sheer translucent powder or a mineral-based one, which illuminates and brightens the skin.
    • Try this instead: Skip the powder or opt for a more moisturizing mineral version. We like Korres Wild Rose Mineral Foundation Powder/ SPF 30, $28.

DO opt for brown eyeliner over black

    • Here’s why: Eyeliner is an excellent tool to open up the eyes and make them appear wider, but the color black can be too harsh. Switch to a softer shade of brown and avoid lining the lower lash line which can look overdone. Avoid a heavy hand with eyeliner – a thick liner can make upper lids look heavy.
    • Try this instead: Opt for a light color liner or a neutral brown shade that’s universally flattering. We like CARGO Swimmables Eye Pencil in Pebble Beach, $18.

    DO make blush your friend

    • Here’s why: The right color blush can add a youthful look to a tired face, but the key is finding a shade that is just right. Women with fair and medium skin tones should look for rosy pinks and peaches, and darker skin tones look best with coral and berry shades.
    • Try this instead: Avoid bright colors and looks for a shade that is neutral, soft and sheer. We like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer Duo, $14.

    DO wear the right foundation

    • Here’s why: No one can claim to have "perfect" skin, and foundation can work wonders on uneven skin tones. The key is the right product and the right amount of it. Using too much foundation, especially one that’s too thick, can cause the product to settle into fine lines. Avoid anything matte and be sure to prep the skin with a moisturizer and primer before applying.
    • Try this instead: For a product that provides natural coverage and offers sun protection, we like Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation, $55.

    DO fill in sparse brows

    • Here’s why: Eyebrow color fades as we age, so filling in over-plucked spots or fairer hair is a must in any makeup routine. Keep brows shaped and defined, and choose a pencil or gel shade that is one or two notches lighter than your natural brow color.
    • Try this instead: Pencils are great for precision, but gels have longer lasting staying power. We like Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade (offered in 5 shades), $18.

    DON'T over-conceal under eyes

    • Here’s why: While concealer seems to be the answer to erasing under eye circles and combating the look of fatigue, if used incorrectly, can actually make you look older. Too much makeup around the eye area can highlight wrinkles and lines in this delicate area. Be sure to prep the skin with a moisturizing eye cream and keep the touch light.
    • Try this instead: Look for a concealer with a lightweight texture and bonus points if it offers sun protection. We like Physician’s Formula Youthful Wear Cosmeceutical Youth-Boosting Spotless Concealer SPF 15, $19.

    DON'T skip primer

    • Here’s why: Primers are just what they sound like: They create a base by smoothing skin and ensuring that makeup stays put. Mix with foundation or tinted moisturizer or apply a light layer as the first step in your makeup routine.
    • Try this instead: A thin layer of a silicone-based makeup primer can fill in lines and pores, but so can natural ingredients like oatmeal and cocoa butter. We like Lush Feeling Younger skin tint, $26.

    DON'T overdo lip liner

    • Here’s why: Not only is the look of heavy lip liner dated (hello, ‘90s!), it can also emphasize the fine lines around the mouth. Soften the look with a liner that closely matches your lipstick or use a creamy lipstick pencil for easy application.
    • Try this instead: Keep your application clean and easy with a chubby stick that has the precision of a pencil, but has the staying power and look of lipstick. We like Flower Kiss Me Twice Lip & Cheek Chubby in Rosie Posie, $20.

    DON'T skip lip color

    • Here’s why: As we get older, we lose the pigment in our lips making lipstick that much more indispensable. That said, steer clear of anything metallic, glittery, or too dark and avoid a heavy hand when it comes to applying. Less is more.
    • Try this instead: When in doubt, opt for a nude lipstick and look for one that offers sun protection, anti-aging, and collagen-boosting properties. We like LORAC Cosmetics Breakthrough Performance Lipstick, $22.

DO go easy on the eye shadow

    • Here’s why: While we’re not opposed to adding color to eyelids, it’s best to avoid bright or dark eye shadow shades, which can draw the wrong attention to the eyes. A more subtle way to play up your peepers is to play up the lashes and a precise wand ensures a non-clumpy, non-spidery lashes.
    • Try this instead: Play up your eyes by emphasizing lush lashes, but skip mascara on the lower lashes. We like CoverGirl Last Exact Mascara, $7.29, available at drugstore.com.

Tomato juice is known for its anti-puffiness and mild de-pigmentation properties. Squeeze out juice from it and apply onto face. Better still, use chilled refrigerator kept tomatoes. Let it remain for 15-20 minutes and then wash off. This will help you get rid of tan with regular use.

    Raw Papaya:

Raw papaya paste effectively removes tan. Use a mask of grated or paste of raw papaya on the skin for 15-20 minutes. Doing this regularly will lead to fairer skin.

    Sour Curds:

Sour curd has great bleaching properties. Use it on tanned surfaces for about 15-20 minutes. Wash off. Do regularly to get rid of tan completely.

    Potato:

Potato is also known for its mild bleaching and cleansing properties. Take a clean potato and grate it. Take the juice by squeezing it and use on the face with cotton balls. Doing this regularly will definitely get you rid of your tan.

How To Get Healthy Glowing Skin Naturally

How To Get Healthy Glowing Skin Naturally
Whether you want to become a model or just look like one, you can start by following a good skin care routine to get model-grade skin. Photoshop is what makes all models look ethereal, so don’t expect to be flawless. These simple steps will get your skin in shape without the need for extensive photo retouching.

First, you need to invest in skin care products that cater to your skin type. It is important to know whether you have dry, normal, oily or combination skin. Once you know that, you’ll be able to shop for items accordingly.

Find a good cleanser that works with your skin type and make sure to gently massage it into your skin to get rid of dirt, surface debris and oils. Always make sure to rinse thoroughly so you don’t have any residue left on your complexion.

Once to twice a week you should exfoliate to rid your skin of layers of dead skin cells. This helps to make way for new, vibrant cells to come through. Make sure to choose a scrub that is gentle enough and won’t irritate your complexion.

Moisturizing is key to not only keeping your skin from getting dry, but helps to prevent the onset of premature wrinkles and fine lines. When the skin is dry, it becomes vulnerable to the formation of creases and ultimately, wrinkles. To ward off sun damage from UV rays, choose a moisturizer than contains SPF.

In addition to taking care of the skin, it is important for all models and model hopefuls to watch what they eat and drink, as well as what they put on their complexions. Eating the right foods will result in clear and healthy skin. The same holds true for what the state of your skin will be like if you only eat junk. Start incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your daily diet. Throw in daily multivitamins, as well. These provide essential nutrients that you may be lacking in the foods you eat.

Water, water, water. This cannot be stressed more when it comes to achieving and maintaining healthy, glowing skin. Once you cut out the caffeine, carbonated sodas and alcohol and start drinking water daily, you’ll see a definite difference in your skin. Water not only satiates your thirst, it aids in giving your skin the proper hydration to keep it glowing. Keep a water bottle near you at all times: in your car, at your desk at work and on hand during photo shoots. Never underestimate the power of water.

    Expert Tips For Makeup Organization

Go for products that do triple-duty.
“The Multiple by NARS is fantastic!” McCubbin says. “It can be blush, eye shadow, and lip color. It comes in lots of colors, so there are options for everyone. This one item is a game changer. In fact, if you’re carrying a tiny evening bag, this could be all you need.” McCubbin also recommends Smashbox CC Cream. “It’s a foundation, concealer, and sunscreen. It also comes in a .5-oz size that’s perfect for makeup bags,” she says.

Throw out anything broken or old.
This is especially true with mascaras and lipsticks as these will go bad (and spread dangerous bacteria) the quickest. “I love the sectional separator inserts from Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store. When your makeup is divided in to sections, you can organize better and it saves time, because you can see everything and grab what you need,” says celebrity makeup artist Amanda Shackleton. While sorting out old from new, follow the general rule that mascara and liquid eye products once opened should only be kept 2-3 months, liquid foundation up to a year, and lipstick up to a year (unless you’ve been ill, then toss immediately). Many of our favorite skin care products have active ingredients that lose their efficacy as they sit around. Everything has a shelf life!

Follow the same rule on the go by using a small makeup bag.
“The bigger the bag, the more you’ll cram in there. All you need is a powder, blush, mascara, and eyeshadow. Carry products that do double duty. Instead of carrying an eyeliner and shadow, carry an eyeshadow quad that contains a dark color and then an eyeliner brush so you can apply liner if you want,” says Spafinder Wellness 365‘s de-clutter expert, Tracy McCubbin.

Minimize the amount of product you have.
Separate products by category (lips, eyes, blush, etc.) and place in a container or organizer that separates the products. “I like to organize by color palette within the category and then from light to dark,” says professional organizing consultant Donna David, president of Donna David Company in New York City. David recommends you then store makeup in a drawer or in a cabinet away from sunlight and humidity. Do not keep makeup in the bathroom — it’s too humid of a spot where germs and bacteria can grow.

Tips on how to apply eyeliner

Tips on how to apply eyeliner
If you’re not a natural wiz at eyeliner, you probably just go ahead and leave it to the experts. But, adding even a soft swipe on the lash lines enhances your mascara dramatically. So, pick up a kohl liner and let these “don’ts” serve as a guide to perfecting eyeliner once and for all.

Going Too Dark on the Lower Lash Line
Applying liner on both the top and bottom lash lines adds depth to the lashes and makes them appear thicker. But go too thick or dark on the bottom lashes, and your eyes end up looking smaller. Instead, use a lighter version of the eyeliner shade you’re using for a softer touch. Another option: use a powder eyeshadow instead of liner.

    Applying Mascara Before Eyeliner
Always swipe on mascara last. This allows a more precise eyeliner application—it’s easier to see the lash line when the eyelashes are bare. Plus, with the eyeliner in place, you’ll know just how much mascara is needed to finish the look.

    Letting Pencil Eyeliner Smudge
Too creamy or too slick and the pencil liner is going to smudge. A surefire way to keep the product in place is by applying a small amount of eyeshadow over the liner. The powder also works like a primer, giving the liner a longer life-span.

Placing Product in the Teardrop Area
Not only does this promote bacteria, but it also makes the liner more prone to smudging—this inner corner can get moist throughout the day. When painting the upper and bottom lines, finish just before this inner corner.

    Leaving Messy Lines
Creating perfectly straight lines the first time around takes skill. But that doesn’t mean leaving uneven lines is acceptable. An easy solution is dotting the eyeliner along the base of the lashes and then connecting the dots with a sweep of liner after.
